Reno Benchmarking
The Energy and Water Efficiency Program, adopted in 2019, pertains to public municipal buildings greater than 10,000 SF and commercial, multi-family, and state agency buildings greater than 30,000 SF.
Covered buildings are required to report total energy and water usage annually. Additional energy and water performance goals will be in force starting in 2026.
Data reporting is due by April 1 each year and is based on the previous calendar year’s data. For example, a covered building would need to report 2024 consumption data by April 1, 2025.
